Facilities Transport Services is pleased to offer a full-time opportunity for a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Class C Driver As part of our dedicated Transport Team, you will deliver a friendly, reliable, and professional service across our hospital sites, supporting patients, staff, and clinical services every day.
This is a varied and essential role. You could be transporting patients safely home, delivering urgent samples for testing, assisting staff with inter-site travel, or supporting hospital operations through the movement of waste, goods, food, blood products, and medical supplies. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care and hospital functionality.
Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills and a good geographical knowledge of Leeds and surrounding areas. You should be comfortable using radios, telephones, and IT systems to receive and complete tasks in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves working 37.5 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
The role requires a proactive and adaptable approach, as duties may change throughout the day depending on operational demands. You will be expected to maintain high-quality standards in line with Trust policies, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors. You will also act as a point of contact, providing a friendly and helpful presence across our sites.
