Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Bar/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving food and beverages in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas at all times
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks
- Serve customers efficiently, ensuring a high standard of customer service
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards diligently
- Handle cash transactions accurately and assist with order processing when required
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws regarding alcohol service
- Assist in setting up event spaces or special functions as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or catering environments is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly, professional attitude with a genuine interest in delivering excellent customer service
