We are currently looking for multiple Windscreen Technicians throughout **CROYDON & SURROUNDING AREAS**
Overview
We are seeking skilled Windscreen Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of windscreens for various vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with power tools and hand tools. This position requires physical stamina as it involves heavy lifting and working in various environments. (No HGV's).
Duties
- Assess damages to windscreens and determine the appropriate repair or replacement methods.
- Remove damaged windscreens using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Install new windscreens, ensuring proper sealing and alignment to meet safety standards.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the services provided and any necessary follow-up actions.
Experience
- Proven windscreen repair and replacement knowledge is essential for diagnosing issues and performing repairs effectively.
- Familiarity with tools such as the 'Mono' or 'Easy Wire' is required, as you will be using them regularly in your daily tasks.
- Experience with heavy lifting is necessary, as the role involves handling large windscreens such as Transit and Sprinter vans.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as the 'Lil Buddy' is important for executing precise installations.
