As a member of the Production Management and Manufacturing Co-ordination teams, lead plant cleanouts and drive continuous improvement in cleanout and changeover processes and procedures to drive efficiency and minimise product changeover timeline
Be a change agent liaising closely with Operational Excellence to identify and implement cleanout process improvements
Responsibilities
Support and role model zero harm safety, quality, and cyber compliance; complying with and promoting all environmental, Health and Safety, quality and cyber policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Control of Major Accidents & Hazards (COMAH) critical aspects of the Process Safety Management System and Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP) relevant to area of responsibility.
Comply with and promote all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures.
Conduct EHS audits and assist in progressing improvement action plans.
Support and promote standards in cleanout process safety practices driving standards in risk assessments including Hazard Study and COSHH assessments
Uphold cGMP principles in area of responsibility, continually seek opportunities to improve and enhance quality standards, and encourage other staff to do likewise.
Provide support to the manufacturing co-ordination, production management and operations teams to ensure compliant and efficient execution of cleanout and changeover of product within Dudley Manufacturing assets
Closely monitor cleanout performance, tracking a variety of cleanout Key Performance Indicators and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Supervise the shift operations team in efficient execution of cleanout and change over acting as key liaison between operations and day shift/project teams and other departments (including but not limited to QA, QC, engineering, process control)
Work closely with the Operational Excellence teams to identify and drive business initiatives in improving changeover performance, proactively seeking best industrial practices
Explore and utilise alternative cleanout technologies including CIP Technologies ensuring safety and quality cGMP compliance
Work closely with technical project team representatives including but not limited to R&D, analytical, quality, PPG, engineering and manufacturing coordinators to ensure best cleanout practices, materials, equipment and performance
Drive troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and processing issues related to cleanout and changeover activities taking ownership of CIP rig and associated equipment management
Provide regular production updates to the Manufacturing Coordinator and Production Management teams escalating issues appropriately through the Tier meeting structure
Drive documentation RFT standards on cleanout PRS to minimise errors and deviations
Attend project team meetings as appropriate to support represention of the manufacturing team
Ensure that effective handovers are conducted with shift teams and production management team.
Ensure standards for cleanout enable efficient equipment qualification and commissioning
Key Skills and Competencies
Proven experience of pharmaceutical manufacture.
Thorough knowledge of SPSL plant, relevant processes and procedures.
Intimate knowledge of plant equipment including utilities.
The role does include supporting PTW activities associated with cleanouts. PTW training is desirable but not a prerequisite and will be provided as required
Be a SAP user with good understanding of SAP processes
