Duties
- Support the Nursery Manager in supervising daily nursery activities and staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational programs that promote development and learning
- Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare, fostering a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children
- Oversee staff schedules, conduct performance observations, and support professional development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies to protect children and staff at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, daily routines, and any concerns
- Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining records, managing supplies, and supporting recruitment efforts
Skills
- Proven management and leadership abilities within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare roles
- Strong understanding of nursery operations, safeguarding procedures, and child development principles
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ability to motivate and lead a team while maintaining a positive work environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and planning activities
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation needs when required
