Bring Your Marine Experience Ashore
Do you have experience working on or supporting small commercial vessels and want to take the next step in your career?
Windcat is looking for a practical, safety-focused QHSE Officer to join our team in Lowestoft. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong marine background who understands vessel operations and wants to develop their career in Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management.
Whether you've gained your experience at sea or in a vessel operations environment, you'll bring valuable insight into how marine operations are conducted in practice. In return, we'll support you in developing your QHSE knowledge and building a career in safety, quality and compliance.
The Role

Working closely with operational teams both ashore and afloat, you will help ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and regulatory standards while contributing to the ongoing development of our management systems.
Your operational experience will be invaluable in helping us identify practical improvements, investigate incidents, support safe ways of working and ensure our procedures remain effective and fit for purpose.
What You'll Be Doing
-
Supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of the company management system.
-
Conducting vessel and site visits to monitor compliance and promote best practice.
-
Assisting with internal audits, inspections and assurance activities.
-
Supporting incident investigations and identifying opportunities to prevent recurrence.

-
Liaising with operational teams, clients and stakeholders on QHSE matters.
-
Monitoring compliance with company, client and regulatory requirements.

About You
We're looking for a practical and credible individual who understands small vessel marine operations and is passionate about keeping people safe.

Essential
-
Experience working within the maritime industry, ideally on or in support of small commercial vessels.
-
Good understanding of safe vessel operations and operational risk.

-
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
-
Keen to learn and develop through formal QHSE training.
