About the Role
We're recruiting an Administration Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Children's Social Care team. This is a key support role for someone organised, reliable, and confident working in a professional environment. The successful candidate will provide an efficient administrative service while handling sensitive and confidential information in line with data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding procedures.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing administrative and clerical support to the Children's Social Care team
- Maintaining accurate records, documents, and databases in line with service procedures
- Processing information and updating administrative systems efficiently and accurately
- Preparing reports, correspondence, and general documentation as required
- Supporting meetings by organising paperwork, taking notes, and coordinating meeting arrangements
- Handling enquiries professionally and providing support to colleagues and service users where required
- Ensuring all information is managed securely in accordance with confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Completing general office administration tasks to support the smooth running of the service

We're seeking someone organised, proactive, and detail-focused with the ability to manage competing priorities. You'll ideally have:
Must-Have Requirements
- Previous administrative or clerical experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Previous experience working within Children's Services, Social Care, or a Local Authority environment
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality requirements
- Experience supporting professional teams in an administrative capacity
