Lyndhurst Care Home, located in Leigh is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly night team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care while leading and supporting others.
Pay - £14.00 per hour
Shift Pattern
- 22:00 – 08:00
- Working on a rota basis, including alternate weekends.
Your Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred care throughout the night.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the night care team to deliver high-quality care.
- Safely administering, recording, and managing residents' medications in line with policies and best practice.
- Overseeing the smooth running of each shift and ensuring care is delivered to the highest standard.
- Providing guidance, supervision, and support to Care Assistants.
- Completing accurate care records and handovers.
- Responding promptly to residents' changing needs and emergencies.
- Promoting dignity, independence, and choice for every resident.
- Working closely with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and management to maintain excellent standards of care.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous experience in a senior care role.
- Is confident in medication administration and understands the importance of safe medicines management.
- Can effectively lead, motivate, and support a care team.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is caring, compassionate, and committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
- Remains calm, professional, and organised during busy shifts.
