We are seeking a skilled Miller/Turner/Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in precision machining, fabrication, and tooling and completed a recognised apprenticeship
Working Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm

Duties
- Operate milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other precision equipment to produce or modify parts according to technical drawings and CAD models.
- Use hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly, fitting, and finishing of components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Perform grinding, welding, and other fabrication tasks to create or repair tooling and machinery components.
- Assist in the design and development of new tooling solutions for plastics injection moulding processes.
- Conduct inspections of machined parts to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project requirements and modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker, Miller/Turner or similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent programmes.
- Hands-on experience with grinding, welding, milling, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with tooling design, assembly, and the use of hand tools is essential.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
- Experience working with CAD systems for design modifications or new tool development is preferred. Pay: £25,173.42-£30,000.00 per year
