Job Description
As a Kitchen Assistant & Food Production Operative at En Place Foods, you will work as part of the production team, supporting the preparation, manufacture and packing of food products. This is a hands-on role involving food preparation, production, cleaning and dispatch activities within a busy food manufacturing environment.
You will help maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and quality while ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the production kitchen.
- Receive, check and store incoming deliveries.
- Follow production sheets and recipes to accurately weigh and prepare ingredients.
- Operate cooking, filling and packing equipment.
- Print and apply product labels.
- Assist with packing finished products and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Wrap pallets and support warehouse and dispatch activities.
- Carry out cleaning, hygiene and wash-up duties.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow food safety, quality and health & safety procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in catering, food handling or a food production environment.
- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- The physical capability to undertake manual handling and other practical tasks associated with food production.
- The ability to follow written (English) and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good organisational and timekeeping skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Hours
- Permanent, full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts: 8:00am – 4:00pm
