Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality manufacturing processes, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and technical skills to bring designs to life efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes to produce complex parts according to detailed specifications.
- Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming using Fusion 360.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise machining processes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for part assembly, finishing, or modifications as needed.
- Conduct quality checks through measurements and inspections utilizing basic math skills and precision tools to meet tight tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on design adjustments, material selection—including plastics for injection molding—and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, and inspection reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery with a strong understanding of milling and turning.
- Mechanical knowledge of machine components, tooling setups, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and various tooling equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and material properties.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
