Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care workers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high standards of care.
- Develop, review, and implement personalized care plans that meet each child's unique needs, promoting their well-being and development.
- Ensure the safety and safeguarding of children at all times by adhering to policies and reporting any concerns promptly.
- Coordinate daily activities, including educational, recreational, and therapeutic sessions that encourage growth and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and progress notes using IT systems efficiently.
- Foster effective communication with children, families, social workers, and external professionals to promote collaborative support.
- Support the training and supervision of junior staff members to build a motivated and competent team committed to excellence.
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care roles within a care home environment or children's residential setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies clearly and empathetically.
- Knowledge of creating and managing detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Valid driving license preferred for transporting children or attending external appointments safely.
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping, reporting, and communication within social care settings.

Pay: £25,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
