Laneway is a busy city centre cafe with a strong reputation built over 9+ years of serving some of the best coffee and brunch in the North East.
We are looking for a passionate chef to join the team at our city centre cafe. This is a perfect position for someone who has a grounding of experience and a real enthusiasm for good food.
Although our current menu is simple and relatively small we need a strong kitchen team to be able to produce it to a consistent high quality. Everything is made from scratch and our menu changes with the seasons using ingredients at the peak of their quality.
You must be able to work under your own initiative to help produce new menus, keep the kitchen clean, have strong time management and keep to all best practices for food hygiene.
It gets busy on weekends so full weekend availability is a must and a love for working a busy service.

- You have a level 2 food hygiene certificate as a minimum
- You have experience with food hygiene practices and maintaining paperwork and cleanliness in a 5* kitchen
- You have an enthusiasm for food and are motivated by quality over quantity
- You are able to work weekends
