Admissions Support Worker
The Nelson Trust is a leading charity providing treatment, support and rehabilitation services for people affected by addiction and multiple disadvantages. We are looking for a warm, organised and compassionate Admissions Support Worker to join our friendly Admissions Team. As the first point of contact for many individuals seeking residential rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in ensuring people feel respected, safe and supported throughout their journey into treatment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment.
Salary: £25,000 - £26,500 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (flexibility required to work outside normal office hours when needed)
Pension: Auto-enrolment pension with 6% employer contribution
Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
What will you do?
- Be a key point of contact for clients, families and referral partners
- Coordinate assessments and admissions into residential services
- Process referrals and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support clients with practical arrangements prior to admission
- Build positive relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and welcome new arrivals
- Monitor and maintain high standards of data quality and compliance

- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong administration, organisational and IT skills
- A warm, approachable manner with the ability to build rapport and put people at ease
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
