Responsibilities
- Assist with site setup, including loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Perform general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and cleaning work areas
- Support skilled tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials promptly
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for all team members
- Help with demolition, excavation, or groundwork activities as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site throughout the project lifecycle
- Report any safety hazards or issues immediately to supervisors to prevent accidents
Requirements
- Proven experience as a labourer in construction or related fields
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in construction environments
- Valid certification in workplace safety or first aid is a plus but not mandatory
- Reliable attendance record with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills
