We have an exciting opportunity for two Safeguarding Social Workers to join us!
This role is based within the Safeguarding Adults Hub, which is a lively and vibrant team promoting Best Practice and Service Excellence. These are full-time, permanent roles with hybrid working, and a salary of £40,192 - £44,012 per annum, plus an annual retention bonus of £3,000 subject to eligibility. We are open to job share and part time applicants.

The role:

To screen and triage Safeguarding referrals received from partner organisations to assess criteria for a S42 enquiry.
- To raise and respond to safeguarding concerns with relevant professionals to ensure the safety of the individuals we work with.
- To complete S.42 enquiries
- To work in collaboration with partner agencies and ASC colleagues to ensure swift completion and appropriate conclusion to provider related S42 enquiries and implement a protection plan where required.
- To ensure individuals are supported in achieving their goals and outcomes.
- To ensure appropriate safeguarding processes are in place for those most vulnerable adults.
- To maximise the extent to which service users take control of their own lives whilst ensuring appropriate safeguards against risk are managed.
- To provide appropriate advice, support and advocacy to ensure that service users’ best interests are maintained.
This role will report to the Senior Social Worker within the Safeguarding Hub who will provide quality, monthly supervision and reflective spaces for shared learning opportunities. The team promotes an open learning culture, positive risk taking and personalisation of the Safeguarding process.
What we are looking for:
Enthusiastic and proficient registered social workers who have experience working within Safeguarding; of undertaking S42 enquiries and supporting partner agencies with enquiry resolution and implementation of protection plans. The ideal candidates will have the ability to represent the Authority, at a multi-agency level, in planning and reviewing service development. You will also have a clear understanding of Safeguarding protocols and the protection of vulnerable adults, supported by knowledge of all relevant legislation. Specifically Adult Safeguarding (S42) under the Care Act 2014.
