Architectural Technologist
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 DOE

Alfred Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary design consultancy to recruit an experienced Architectural Technologist for its growing Birmingham studio.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking practice, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects from concept through to completion, producing high-quality technical information and coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors.
The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will:
- Produce high-quality technical drawing packages and construction information.
- Support project delivery across all RIBA work stages.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and clients.
- Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to technical design development and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend project meetings, design reviews and site visits as required.
About You
To be considered, you should have:
- A degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Around five years' industry experience as an Architectural Technologist, Architectural Technician or technically focused Architect.
- CIAT accreditation, or be working towards Chartered status (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing and technical delivery.
- Experience producing detailed construction information and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, ArchiCAD or similar BIM software.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Experience within sectors such as education, commercial, residential, industrial or public sector projects would be advantageous.
