About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, friendly, and motivated Business Administrator Apprentice to join our office team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in business administration while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a busy and supportive working environment. Alongside your day-to-day role, you will work towards a recognised Business Administrator apprenticeship qualification, developing a wide range of administrative, customer service, communication, and organisational skills.
You will become an important part of the team, supporting customers, colleagues, the production team, and management. As your confidence and experience grow, you will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and get involved in areas such as marketing, process improvement, finance administration, and sales support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Administrator Apprentice, your duties will include:
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email in a friendly and professional manner
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
- Providing general administrative support across different areas of the business
- Using Microsoft Office, including Excel, for a range of daily administrative tasks
- Liaising with the production team and assisting with production sheets and logistics paperwork
- Uploading invoices and supporting basic administration within Xero, with training provided
- Helping to maintain accurate records, documents, and filing systems
- Supporting social media activity, including posting company updates and engaging with customers
- Learning how different departments work together and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations
- Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working
- Assisting with sales activity involving new and existing customers as your experience develops
- Completing apprenticeship training and applying your learning within the workplace
About You
You do not need previous office or administration experience, as full training and support will be provided.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is confident, friendly, and willing to communicate with customers and colleagues
- Has a professional and polite telephone manner
- Is organised and pays good attention to detail
- Is willing to learn and develop new skills
- Has a positive and flexible attitude
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is comfortable using computers and willing to develop their Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Can manage their time and prioritise tasks
- Is reliable, enthusiastic, and happy to get involved in different areas of the business
- Is interested in developing a career in business administration
Previous experience in administration, customer service, or a similar environment would be useful but is not essential.
