Join us in building the next generation of electric commercial vehicles.
Electra Commercial Vehicles is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of zero-emission commercial vehicles. We design, build, refurbish and repower electric trucks for customers across the UK and internationally.
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Vehicle Assembly Technicians/Chassis Fitter to join our growing Production Team in Brighouse.
This is not a repetitive production line role. Every vehicle we build is different. You'll work on bespoke electric trucks, specialist commercial vehicles, prototype builds and vehicle refurbishments, assembling complete vehicles from the chassis upwards.
If you enjoy solving engineering challenges, working with your hands and taking pride in building high-quality vehicles, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As an Assembly Technician, you'll play a key role in assembling complete electric commercial vehicles and specialist equipment.
Working closely with our Engineering and Production teams, you'll install mechanical, structural and electrical systems to produce high-quality, low-volume vehicles ready for customer delivery.
This is a varied and rewarding position where practical ability, common sense and attention to detail are just as important as previous experience.
Key Responsibilities

- Install chassis components, suspension, steering and braking systems.
- Fit body structures, fabricated components, subframes and ancillary equipment.
- Install hydraulic, pneumatic and pipework systems.

- Assemble vehicle interiors, lighting, body panels and finishing components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and identify practical improvements during assembly.
- Work alongside our Engineering team on prototype and development vehicles.
- Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain exceptional standards of workmanship, quality and presentation throughout every build.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, professional workshop environment.
