In the Kitchen you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with meal preparation, food safety practices, and maintaining high culinary standards. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients in accordance with recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all food products.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution.
- Support chefs and other team members in various culinary tasks as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in meal preparation or food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
- A basic understanding of food safety regulations and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing kitchen demands.
