You will play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live meaningful, active lives both at home and in the wider community.

What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities to enjoy meaningful daily activities at home and in the community.
- Encourage social inclusion by supporting individuals to access their local community.
- Promoting independence, confidence, and life skills through person-centred support.
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and ensuring service users' well-being, adapting support as needs change.
- Administer medication (following training) and complete monitoring reports as required.
- Work closely with service users to plan and support enjoyable, purposeful daily activities that promote confidence, skill-building, and independence.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues, and external professionals to promote rights, choices, and dignity.
- Follow care plans and active support strategies, always prioritising dignity, privacy, and respect.
- Building strong, respectful relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
- Keeping clear and accurate records and updating care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of care and support provided.
What we’re looking for:
- A caring and positive attitude – experience is welcome but not essential.
- Great communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- A commitment to promoting independence and choice.
- Flexibility to work as part of a rota including some evenings or weekends.
- A genuine interest in supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Empathy, patience, a proactive approach to care, and a genuine interest in helping others.
- Willingness to undertake personal care and other hands-on support duties.
- Flexibility and a team-player attitude.
Previous experience is welcomed but not essential – full training will be provided.

Pay: Up to £35,547.00 per year
