Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for those in your care
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on health status and any changes observed
- Communicate effectively with team members, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care delivery
- Use IT systems to document care activities, update schedules, and manage care plans efficiently
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and compassionately
- Basic IT literacy for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and patience
- Willingness to undertake training related to health and safety standards in care settings
