Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative/Driver to join our team in Farnborough. We are looking for someone with warehousing experience, who is hard-working, conscientious and passionate about contributing towards the smooth and professional delivery of products to customers at their building sites. This is a very physical role involving heavy lifting.
Warehouse Operative/Driver Responsibilities Include:
- Packing, picking and labelling of stock for final delivery
- Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles
- Checking and receipt of goods delivered
- Putting stock away
- Use of the Warehouse Management System
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures
- To comply with company procedures with the use of mechanical handling equipment
- Corresponding with internal departments when necessary
- Assisting with stock taking
- Keeping warehouse/yard area clean and tidy
- Conduct full vehicle inspections
- Fueling Vehicles
- Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimisation of fuel usage, cleanliness of vehicle
- Responsible for the security of the vehicle & load at all times
- Ensure that all delivery procedures are followed in line with Company and Customer procedures
- Ensure all Company documentation and equipment is returned to the transport office/depot daily
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met within Company and legal frameworks
- Report vehicle defects and ensure that the defect is documented
- In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training provided.
Qualities Desired:
- Counterbalance and/or Reach truck certificate
- Have multi-drop driving experience
- Physically fit to perform manual tasks as required
- Organised and good attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Confident and able to use own initiative when needed
- Excellent time keeping skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
