Job Summary
We are a shopfitting company based in the Wrexham/Oswestry area and we are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber/Improver to join our dynamic team. We operate nationally throughout the UK, and the position will involve time away from home. There is an overnight allowance available, and your accommodation and transport will be provided. Use of your own vehicle is permitted and you will be reimbursed in line with HMRC guidlines. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across various commercial and industrial sites. This will include, but is not limited to. Sink, basins, toilets, Saniflo pumps, water heaters, and radiators. Your expertise will help ensure that plumbing operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Own tools will be required.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble plumbing components and complete projects efficiently.
- Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques for pipe fitting and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and venting.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and screwdrivers; experienced with power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of system components and troubleshooting methods.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work.
- Experience with carpentry tasks related to supporting or framing plumbing installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in various working conditions.
- Assembly experience for installing fixtures or modular plumbing units.
