20 hours per week – Any 5 from 7 days flexibility to cover.
Normal Hours Monday to Friday 09:00 – 13:00

JOB SUMMARY
Northampton Hope Centre is a charity which helps and supports the community and people facing hardship. As a Social Supermarket Support Driver you will support the charity with their business needs.
The postholder will:
- Drive to suppliers to pick up donations and food purchases, loading and unloading.
- Sorting and delivering stock at the Hope Centre designated premises to required destinations.
- Oversee Social Supermarkets on when required.
- General warehouse duties – sorting stock and preparing for the Social Supermarkets.
- Assist Social Supermarket Development Manager in managing all activities within the warehouse and other Hope locations.
- Check and respond to emails from other Hope employees and or external companies.
- Cover for Social Supermarket Development Manager when required.
- To oversee the organisation of a clean and safe working environment and optimise
space utilisation and throughput of stock.
-To carry out such other work as needed to ensure the effectiveness of the Hope Centres Social Supermarkets, including completion of relevant paperwork.
- To attend relevant training sessions and courses.
- To always carry out your duties with due regard to Northampton Hope Centre’s policies and procedures.
-To carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by your direct line manager and or CEO and COO of the Hope Centre.
The post holder must:
- Have held a driving licence for five years with no/minimal penalties and be legally able and comfortable in driving a large van.
- Flexible approach to working hours within the day and week, some evening and weekend work may be needed.
- Wear correct PPE provided.
- Be physically fit and capable of carrying and unloading up to 25kg.
- Be of good character and honest.
- Be pleasant and friendly in manner whilst maintaining discretion and tact.
- Be professional and capable of representing the Hope Centre to other organisations.
- Keep all vehicles clean and tidy, drive within speed limits and drive with care.
- An acceptable level of numeracy and literacy.
- Competent excel and outlook skills.
- Be hardworking and adaptable.
