McConnell is a Principal Contractor who deliver internal refurbishment, modernisation and planned maintenance services for public and private sector property owners across the UK. We employ the industry’s best people and are currently seeking an experienced Tiler.
Reporting to: Site Manager
Location: East Ayrshire
Rate: Negotiable
Working Hours: 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 3.30pm on Friday
Principle Accountabilities:
- Surface preparation work (e.g. removing old grout and cement and cleaning and levelling surfaces
- Inspecting surfaces to be tiled
- Laying tiles in accordance with tiling plan, cutting tiles where necessary
- Grouting gaps between tiles
- Carrying out finishing work, where necessary.
Person Specification:
- Experience of working on social housing projects is preferred
- Internal Building Refurbishment experience
- Valid CSCS
- Driving Licence
- Proven track record of on time, high quality project delivery
- Clear communicator
- Self-motivated and organised
