Fire & Security: Small Works & Project Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire and Security Small Works & Projects Engineer to join the VOCA Fire Protection (VFP Groupe) small works and projects team. This role will be supporting a variety of disciplines that directly supporting our clients as part of small works and projects teams. Type of contracts will include pharmacy chain, cinema groups, care homes and residential properties.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, approachable, and capable of working effectively as part of a team. To be successful in this role you must be able welcome opportunities to work with innovative systems and products, demonstrate expertise across multiple disciplines, and maintain high standards in all aspects of their work. The successful candidate must be capable of fault finding and be able to work under pressure to ensure that deadlines are achieved. Being in a position of responsibility and privilege, you must be trustworthy and honest in your conduct and provide excellent quality when installing fire and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Installation and Maintenance: install, test and maintain fire protection systems, including fire alarms, PAVA and intruder alarm systems across various sites
· Client interaction: provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication and addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally
· Team collaboration: work closely with fellow engineers, the service team and management to ensure smooth operations, on-time project completion and high-quality service delivery.
· Health & Safety; maintain a high standard of safety on all sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
· Documentation & Reporting: complete necessary documentation, including service reports, asset registers and compliance records, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
· Training & Development: participate in regular training to stay up to date with industry best practices, new technologies and compliance standards
· On-Call Duties: provide 24 hour call-out cover as part of a rota system and responding promptly to any emergency service requests.

Key Requirements:
· Experience of front-line customer service
· You must be flexible to travel
· Fire Alarm experience is mandatory
· Other disciplines training provided if required
· A full UK Driving Licence is mandatory

Location:
Northwest Region occasionally you may be asked to travel further distance, and overnight stays are possibility however this is very limited and is down to the engineer’s discretion.

Working hours are flexible due to the nature of the business, the candidate will be expected meet clients and scheduling requests.

Qualifications required:
Fire Alarm experience min 3 years
Security experience min 1 year
Salary and Benefits:
£36,000+ depending on experience
Vehicle provided (van or estate car)
Overtime rates available
