We are seeking a dedicated part-time cleaner and to employ them on a temp to perm basis, following a temp period of three months.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across one commercial premises, which is a converted Victorian house (three floors).
This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on attention to detail and reliability. Prior experience of commercial cleaning is essential.
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of toilets, kitchen and communal areas according to health and safety standards
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
- Keep an inventory of supplies such as paper towels, soaps and toilet roll and advise when they need ordering
- Ensure all areas are left tidy and presentable after cleaning
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Maintaining a COSHH register
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning work is essential
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and apply common sense
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning activities is a plus
