Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, rest periods, and organised activities
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Assist in the organisation of nursery routines and educational programmes
- Ensure all activities comply with childcare policies and procedures
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery’s programmes through innovative ideas and feedback
- Flexible with working days and hours
Qualifications
- Level 3 SVQ in Childcare or equivalent
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently within a busy environment
