About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Deputy Head Housekeeper to join our team in a busy hotel. Supporting the Head Housekeeper, you'll play a key role in ensuring guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards while leading and motivating a team of Room Attendants.
This is a varied role that combines team leadership, quality checks, training, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor and leading from the front.
What will your main responsibilities be?
You will be accountable for successfully supervising a team of room attendants, you will encourage and support the team, ensuring the highest possible standards are always kept. You will be providing support to the Head Housekeeper and covering their two days off a week. You must be flexible to help the room attendants and get stuck in with the team, you must also be comfortable with supervising the team in the absence of the Head Housekeeper (when they have days off and are away on holiday.)
We can guarantee a minimum of 20 hours per week for this role.
This role is based in our hotel in Colchester CO6.
Please note: 2 days you will work as a Deputy Head Housekeeper, all remaining days you will carry out supervisor and/or room attendant duties.
