Responsibilities

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming station in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide expert advice on animal care
- Manage appointment scheduling and client records efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle heavy lifting of grooming equipment, supplies, and occasionally large or heavy dogs with proper technique to ensure safety for both animals and yourself
- Follow all veterinary and animal care guidelines to ensure the well-being of each pet during grooming sessions
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service, encouraging repeat business and positive reviews
Skills
- Proven experience in dog grooming or veterinary animal care with a keen eye for detail
- Strong animal care skills, including understanding breed-specific grooming requirements and handling animals safely and compassionately
- Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for pet owners and address their needs confidently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy dogs or equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to animal grooming environments
