Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop catering skills within a fast paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly, following established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in cooking and plating dishes efficiently and accurately
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, organised, and properly maintained
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment
- Assist with serving customers when required, providing friendly and professional service
- Contribute to keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Support the team during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is beneficial but not mandatory
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and customer service is essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
