£950 - £1,050 per week (£16.50 ph £10 meal allowance) plus £1,000 joining bonus

We're currently looking for a Class 1 HGV Trunking Driver to join our team at our Hill Barton Depot in Exeter. Whether you've got years of trunking experience or you're a professional driver looking for your next long-term opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
This is a trunking role focused on moving palletised freight between depots and distribution centres.
You'll be trusted to operate safely, professionally and efficiently while representing Dash Express and delivering the high standards we're known for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on scheduled trunking routes.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
- Ensuring loads are correctly secured and transported safely.
- Using handheld technology to scan consignments and update deliveries.
- Communicating with the operations team regarding any issues or delays.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing shift debriefs.

What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who takes pride in doing the job properly.
You'll need:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- A current Driver CPC qualification.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- A good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport regulations.
- Strong reliability and time management skills.
- A professional and positive attitude.
- The ability to work independently while remaining part of a supportive team.
All successful applicants will be required to pass a basic DBS check.
