The Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Junior Traffic Administrator to join our busy operations team. You will provide crucial support to the Traffic Planning team, ensuring the accurate flow of information, managing client enquiries, and handling the daily administration of traffic management schemes.
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone with basic admin experience who is keen to build a career in traffic management or logistics.
Key Responsibilities
· Data Entry: Accurately inputting job details, container numbers, and delivery times into our transport management system.
· Communication: Acting as a point of contact for drivers and customers, providing updates on vehicle locations and delivery statuses.
· Documentation: Assisting with the preparation of driver delivery notes.
· Scheduling Assistance: Support traffic planners with basic route planning and scheduling of resources.
· Problem Solving: Assisting the planning team to resolve minor delays or issues as they arise during the day.
· Compliance Support: Helping ensure all vehicle and driver records are kept up to date in line with industry regulations.
Requirements
· Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is preferred.
· IT Literacy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
· Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Organisation: Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines.
· Attitude: Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work well in a team.
Hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00
Pay: From £34,200.00 per year
