Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fuel Supply Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing fuel supply operations, ensuring efficient delivery and inventory management, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. Your proactive approach will help us deliver reliable fuel services to our customers while supporting the growth of our business.
Duties
- Manage the end-to-end fuel ordering process across the estate.
- Daily reconciliation of fuel stock across retail forecourts.
- Monitoring wet stock variances and investigating unexplained gains/losses including identifying fuel leaks, theft, equipment faults, or delivery discrepancies.
- Work with site managers, maintenance teams and fuel suppliers to resolve stock issues.
- Support audits and ensuring accurate fuel inventory records.
- Use of Telephone, Email, Excel and specialist wet stock software (Fairbanks, Titan Cloud, Edge Petrol) to manage site performance and deliveries.
- Monitor tank levels, sales performance, ullage, delivery schedules, and site demand to determine fuel requirements.
- Balance stock availability, delivery efficiency, and working capital requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, hauliers, Area Managers, and site teams to resolve delivery issues and stock risks.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
- Produce weekly sales analysis covering fuel performance.
- Create clear, concise communications for site teams covering promotions, compliance, and operational priorities & ensure consistent communication of business updates across the estate.
- Work as part of a weekend rota system with other staff to maintain 365 days a year management of the fuel business function.
Qualifications
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
- Ability to coordinate logistics effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and compliance documentation
- Previous experience in fuel supply, logistics, or inventory management is preferred but not mandatory
- Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, team members, and regulatory bodies

Pay: £26,734.50-£29,808.90 per year
