Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, Matte Black Surfacing Ltd is looking to recruit experienced asphalt surfacing operatives to join our established surfacing teams.
Current Gang Locations
We currently have surfacing gangs based in and around:
- Hull
- Doncaster
- Scunthorpe
- Wakefield
- Sheffield
We are looking for experienced:
- Paver Drivers
- Screwmen
- Roller Drivers
- Rake Hands / Asphalt Operatives
Requirements
Applicants must have previous experience in at least one of the roles listed above and be confident working as part of a professional asphalt surfacing gang.
You must also hold the correct and valid qualifications/tickets for your role, including where applicable:
- CSCS
- CPCS
- NPORS
- Relevant plant/operator qualifications
The Role
You will be working on a variety of asphalt surfacing projects, including highways, commercial developments, car parks and large-scale resurfacing schemes.
The role will involve working as part of one of our experienced surfacing gangs using modern, well-maintained plant and equipment.

This is not a trainee position. Previous asphalt surfacing experience is essential.
