We are an independent Opticians on the Wirral looking to hire a part time Optical Assistant.
The position involves booking in patients, taking phone calls, using our pre screening equipment, filing, ordering contact lenses and receiving in deliveries.
You must possess excellent customer service skills and a background in retail or customer service is an advantage. We'd like you have a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team as well.
If you have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn plus a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade A-B or the equivalent then full training can be given for the right candidate. (To include maths and science)
The days needed are Thursdays (9-5.30), Fridays (9-5.30)and Saturdays (9-1).Extra hours would be available to cover holidays / sick etc.
Full time would be considered if all GCSE requirements are met with the opportunity to train as a dispensing optician in 12 months time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 19.0 – 37.0 per week
