Bar Person (18+)
Location: Y Ring (Brondanw Arms), Llanfrothen
The Opportunity
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Bar Person (18+) to join our busy pub. If you enjoy working in an environment where everyone feels welcome, meeting visitors and regulars with the same energy, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working together and can work confidently behind the bar while creating a positive atmosphere for all.
Can you…
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently.
- Take and process drink and food orders accurately.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of drinks, promotions and bar products.
- Ensure the bar is clean, organised and fully stocked throughout each shift.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately using the till system.
- Check identification and ensure compliance with Challenge 25 and licensing laws.
- Assist with food service when required.
- Work closely with the management team and colleagues to ensure that Y Ring continues as a vital part of the Llanfrothen community
- Follow all health, safety and food hygiene procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
- Previous experience working behind a busy bar is preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
- Confident serving beers, wines, spirits and cocktails (basic cocktail knowledge is desirable).
- Bi-lingual Welsh/English
- Have or be willing to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

- Approximately 30 hours per week, depending on business levels. Part-time options considered.
