Job Title: Trainee Textile Conversion Operative
Hours: 41.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Pattern: Full-Time working 12:00 noon – 21:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 11:00am till 16:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting a Trainee Textile Conversion Operative to join our Conversion department. We are looking for someone who has a passion for Textiles. You will be working within a dynamic team, contributing to the production of high-quality fabrics. The roles responsibilities are as follows:
Sewing: Operate industrial sewing machines to fabricate various fabric products according to provided specifications.
Assembly: Hand assembly and utilization of mechanical equipment for product assembly.
Finishing: Attach bindings and perform woollen blanket stitching using a variety of industrial sewing machines.
Cutting: Precisely cut blanket pieces to the correct size, maintaining quality and quantity standards as per production instructions.
Labelling: Affix branded and care labels to items using industrial sewing machines.
Packaging: Fold and pack products according to customer and brand specifications.
Inventory: Assist with stock takes and maintaining stock controls as needed.
Housekeeping: Maintain general cleanliness and organization within the work area.
Key Objectives/Success Criteria:
Quality: Manufacture sewn items to precise specifications, ensuring high quality and craftsmanship.
Timeliness: Meet lead times and deadlines to facilitate on-time delivery to the warehouse for dispatch.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with immediate and surrounding teams, adapting to varying tasks based on production demands and customer dispatch deadlines.
Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure a safe, clean, and tidy work environment, adhering to company health and safety standards.
Essential Skills and Experience required:
- Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred but this is not essential
- Ability to read and interpret production sheets and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
