We're looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused Employer Engagement Lead to drive the growth of our employer network and support students in accessing meaningful work placements and industry experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in employer engagement, business development, recruitment, account management or partnership working who enjoys leading people, developing relationships and delivering results.
You'll lead a dedicated team of Work Experience Recruitment Officers, helping to secure high-quality work placements, including Industry Placements for T Level students, while developing strategic partnerships with employers across the region.
As Employer Engagement Lead, you'll combine leadership, business development and operational management to ensure our students have access to valuable workplace opportunities that support their future careers.
You will:

Lead and motivate a team of Work Experience Recruitment Officers.
- Drive employer engagement activity across Peterborough and Stamford.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase placement opportunities and employer partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with local, regional and national employers.
- Support the delivery of high-quality work experience and Industry Placement programmes.
- Use data and performance metrics to monitor success and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with placement processes, safeguarding requirements and health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams, apprenticeships, employers and wider stakeholders.
- Champion an outstanding employer and student experience.
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organised and passionate about creating opportunities for young people.
You will ideally have:

Experience in employer engagement, business development, account management, recruitment or partnership working.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- A proven track record of building and maintaining successful stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to analyse data and use insights to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the confidence to work independently.
Experience within Further Education, apprenticeships, employability programmes or work-based learning would be advantageous but is not essential.
