Moniaive Playcare Business Administrator
This position has a strategic role to play in representing the vision and purpose of the organisation. The overall role is to maintain an overview of the organisation’s financial affairs, ensuring its viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. In addition to this, the role will participate in all committee meetings and have a general oversight of all committee roles and responsibilities.
General financial oversight
· To oversee and update budgets, accounts and financial statements in partnership with the treasurer
· Prepare funding applications in partnership with the chair and other committee members
· Pay monthly bills as required
· Process monthly staff wages
· To liaise with designated staff about financial matters.
· To ensure that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place.
· To ensure compliance with relevant legislation e.g. Companies and Charity legislation.
· To ensure any recommendations of the auditors are implemented.
· To ensure accounts meet the conditions of contractual agreements with external agencies such as funders and statutory bodies.
Qualities and Skills Preferred
· Experience of financial control and budgeting.
· Experience of fundraising and working within a charity.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· A willingness to be contacted on an ad hoc basis.
· Ability to ensure decisions are taken and followed-up.
· Good time-keeping.
Time Commitment: The role of the requires an estimated commitment of 24 hours a month. It is a remote position but attendance at monthly committee meetings (Moniaive) is required.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
