Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Spray Painter to join our team. Duties
- Prepare vehicles and surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mix paints and colour matching to achieve the desired finish, maintaining consistency across projects.
- Operate spray guns and other painting equipment with precision to apply even coats of paint.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects or imperfections and perform touch-ups as necessary.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and protective equipment usage.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning tools and equipment after use.
- Assist with surface preparation tasks such as sanding or priming when required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive spray painting or a related field is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle structures and painting processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and masking devices.
- Experience using power tools for surface preparation or finishing tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or materials safely.
- Attention to detail to ensure flawless paint application and colour matching.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to spray painting environments.
