Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Duty Coordinator to join our front line team and be part of a small team of staff and volunteers responsible for the day to day running of our drop in. Your working days would be Tuesday to Saturday 9- 4.30.
This role’s primary function is to ensure the smooth running of our drop in, to ensure consistency of service delivery, centre safety and support the Case Coordinators and Centre Manager in their roles.
Duties
Key responsibilities
· Ensure that young people’s crisis needs are met and that the centre is a safe space for clients.
· Support the volunteer team.
· Conduct ‘Welcome Chats’ and tours with new clients.
· Update INFORM (CRM) with records, needs assessments, keywork notes and any outcome stars.
· Ensure that young people’s crisis needs are met and that the centre is a safe space for clients.
· Organise and support the delivery of our activities programme.
· Make sure that opening closing checks are completed to maintain health and safety of the building
· Administration of funds including triaging client requests for crisis fund items.
· One to one keywork support such as signposting, listening, referrals, application form etc.
· Organising donations of food and clothing.
· Running pre and post shift volunteer briefings.
Person specification
Essential
· Experience of working or volunteering with vulnerable young people (16 and 25 years )
· Ability to communicate with clients according to their needs, including working through language barriers.
· Confidence to assert boundaries with clients.
· Empathy and understanding of the issues that young people who are homeless are experiencing.
· Ability to use IT effectively, especially Word and Excel, and maintain accurate records via our database system (INFORM)
· Knowledge of Adult and Child Safeguarding
· Ability to take initiative and identify and complete tasks without prompting.

Pay: £24,604.00-£26,820.00 per year
