Inspire Dental Dagenham is an established mixed NHS/Private Dental & Orthodontic practice located in Dagenham. We are a busy friendly five surgery practice with a wide team of dental care professionals and specialists.
We are looking for a Head Dental Receptionist to join our team on a full time basis, including some Saturdays. As the first point of contact for our dental practice, you will play a crucial role in leading the reception team in providing excellent patient service and ensuring smooth running of the practice.
Purpose of the job
Responsible for leading a team of receptionists who ensure that our patients always receive the best quality patient experience. Optimising the appointment book and supporting the efficient and effective running of the Practice. Enable patient uptake of treatment plans, following up patient enquiries, and performing effective reception duties.
Job Role
Supervise all day-to-day reception tasks within the practice. Maintaining and improving output, quality, cost and delivery performance in accordance with the practice goals. As required deputise for the practice manager.
· Welcome and treat patients in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
· Accurately update patient information
· Respond to and diffuse issues and any patient complaints
· Build and nurture great working relationships with the clinical team
· Recruit, retain and develop the team of Receptionists
· Take ownership of the daily and weekly tasks to be completed by the reception team
· In conjunction with the Practice Manager conduct appraisals for the reception team
· Conduct regular review checks to identify and action issues around reception tasks
· Organise training and development of both new and existing reception staff
· In conjunction with the Practice Manager draft process documents and practice policies
Full time role, Monday – Friday, inc one Saturday a month, with a week day off.
Monday 8:00 – 17:30
Tuesday 8:00 – 17:30
Wednesday 8:00 – 17:30
Thursday 8:00 – 17:30
Friday 8:00 – 17:00
Saturdays 8:00 – 17:00 (one a month)
Pay according to qualifications, skills and experience.
