The Role
Working as part of Catering team to deliver of a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of Patients, Staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services
To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday - Variable shifts earliest start 6.30am and latest finish 8pm.
In this key role, you will:

Assist in the preparation , production, heating and reheating of food for patients, staff, visitors
- To produce items using basic cooking techniques e.g. porridge, breakfast items, soup, sandwich, salads.
- To pick, pack, decant food items in required pack sizes.

To work in all areas of the catering department including freezers, fridges and cold rooms
To load and unload food, beverage trolleys manoeuvring in a range of locations

What You'll Bring:

Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures.
- Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks

Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment

Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
