You will be responsible for the following:
Perform laboratory analyses on a variety of equipment and ensure all data is transferred
to the client’s unique records.
Provide all staff training in the use of laboratory equipment to ensure the service runs
24/7.
Perform blood film analysis and cytology on a variety of specimen types.
Perform basic microbiology, urine cultures and sensitivity testing.
Regularly checks Standard Operating Procedures and updates where appropriate.
Performs packaging of all external laboratory samples and assist with correct orientation
and charging of these tests.
Manages lab inventory, procures supplies and stocks shelves.
Responsible for the in-house lab maintenance of all equipment and overall cleanliness of
lab and lab equipment.
Perform both internal and external quality control analysis as per designated schedules.
Perform administrative duties such as preparing parcel deliveries, checking of external
lab invoice charging and record keeping.
Identify and implements strategies and efficiencies to enhance the laboratory service in
conjunction with the partners. Strives for continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.
Communicate with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as
needed.
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
