Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:15am – 4:45pm, Friday 7:15am – 4:30pm
About Us:
We are a busy and growing steel company based in Blaydon, supplying and fabricating a wide range of steel products for the construction and engineering industries. We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team and help support the day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and preparing steel orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading deliveries (including manual handling of materials)
- Keeping stock organised and accurately recorded
- Operating lifting equipment and warehouse machinery (training provided)
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Drilling and cutting of steel
What We’re Looking For:
- Good level of physical fitness – lifting required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good attention to detail and basic numeracy
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous warehouse or steel handling experience preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in light steel fabrication would be an advantage but not essential
- Forklift licence or overhead crane experience is an advantage
- Full Uk driving licence preferred
