The Role
The post holder will work as part of the clinical pharmacy team in University Hospital Monklands providing clinical pharmacy services across a range of specialties including Infectious Diseases, Renal Medicine, Surgery and Anaesthetics, and General Medicine. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines, while supporting education, audit, and service development. You will be working across the 4 pillars of advanced pharmacy practice and so undertaking the RPS core advanced curriculum is highly encouraged
In this key role, you will:
To deliver patient-centred specialist pharmaceutical care to patients in specified clinical area(s).
To communicate effectively, placing the person at the centre of any interaction.
To deliver patient education to ensure the safe and effective use of medications and devices.
To collaborate with the wider pharmacy and multidisciplinary team; actively participating in consultant ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
What You'll Bring:
Masters of Pharmacy Degree
Registered member of General Pharmaceutical Council
Independent prescribing qualification or must work towards
Evidence of postgraduate training and professional development in clinical pharmacy practice e.g. Post Registration Foundation Framework/ 1st year clinical diploma
Relevant post registration experience in clinical pharmacy.
Ability to effectively monitor patients’ therapeutic regimens in order to ensure effectiveness and reduce toxicity
