MAX Automotive Group is a rapidly growing independent automotive business specialising in fleet,Light commercial vehicle, EV, hybrid and passenger vehicle maintenance and repair.
With significant investment in our facilities, equipment and people, we are looking for an experienced and driven Workshop Manager to lead our workshop operations and help deliver the next stage of our growth.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the workshop, ensuring high standards of productivity, quality, customer service and profitability.
You will lead a team of technicians and service advisors while maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the workshop
- Leading, motivating and developing the workshop team
- Monitoring workshop productivity and efficiency
- Ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance standards
- Managing workshop loading and job allocation
- Supporting service advisors with technical queries
- Maintaining health and safety procedures
- Driving continuous improvement and business performance
- Assisting with recruitment, training and staff development
RequirementsEssential
- Previous experience as a Workshop Manager, Workshop Controller or Senior Automotive Manager
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Experience within fleet or light commercial vehicle maintenance
- EV and Hybrid knowledge
- Strong Car & Van mechanical knowledge
- IMI qualifications

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
