Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Yard Operative to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment. Your duties will include movement , storing and handing out vehicles either loading on salvage Trucks and recovery vehicles or drving to front office. You will also be looking after customers whose vehicles are in storage and assit them when they need to collect belongings.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Manage inventory movement within the yard, ensuring accurate placement and storage of goods
- Conduct regular yard inspections to maintain safety standards and security protocols
- Support materials handling activities, including lifting, stacking, and organizing supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area to promote safety and efficiency
This job varies day to day, Fork lift licence is a benifit but not essential. reliability, good time keeping, good manerism and used to dealing with public is important.
Due to nature of business you must pass Police vetting as dealing with vehicles for the police
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
